Sound Waves
Our First Project
Description:
For this project we were divided into groups and together we came up with a question. We wrote a scientific paper and made a visual representation using information we got through research, experimenting, or surveys. The question that my group chose was regarding how extensive technology use is to recreational drug use. We did research online, did a survey of our fellow classmates, and also involved information gathered from our own experience. We displayed our final results in an info graphic, as well as wrote it in a paper.

Reflection: Throughout this project I have learned how to do better in group activities, as far as delegating tasks and doing my part goes. I also feel that I have gotten better at using google drawings and sheets, tools that can be used to display information. These skills are shown in the info graphic displayed below, which also shows growth in gathering and organizing data.
Rube Goldberg
This project was to create a Rube Goldberg, which is a machine that uses a very complicated method and a large amount of steps to complete a simple task. Ours dipped a carrot into a bowl of ranch. We incorporated various physics concepts and simple machines, as well as lots of hot glue and dominoes to create a contraption that used legos, marbles, toy cars and paint stir sticks to push the carrot off of a little stand and into the bowl.
